As a closely held, values-based organization, we take pride in what we do while maintaining a friendly, hands-on approach. We’re happy to say we know everyone by name and that we go out of our way to keep ‘no’ or ‘can’t be done’ out of our vocabulary.
We take our not-for-profit status seriously by managing all of our resources with our mission in mind valuing quality over earnings. The Pines continues to flourish because our proceeds are continually reinvested into improving our community’s environment, staffing, accommodations, and programs.

We are proud of the work we do in our community and as a community.
The Pines believes that charity begins at home.
The Pines is a not-for-profit community and we believe we have a responsibility to give back to our community. While for-profit communities use their income to pay dividends to investors, we reinvest revenue after expenses right back into the community, where it belongs. Sometimes the need is at an individual level. For that reason, we have a Benevolent Fund for residents who outlive their assets.
We also strive to follow our mission by serving the broader Ocean County community. Both residents and staff join in our goal and participate in various fundraisers, charitable events, volunteer work, and service projects. Often, residents and staff spark the ideas and even help to organize the projects.
As part of an engaged, healthy and happy lifestyle, our residents are quick to help out in our store, with activities in the health center, or volunteering in various ways throughout our community. Our residents enjoy more fulfilled lives because of what they give!
